No one should be forced to give birth in the waiting room after being ignored by medical staff. No one's body should be used as an incubator for an embryo unless permission is given by prior approval of mother and/or family. I could go on and on. 🥺

Rep. Luz Rivas started out with a STEM career. Then she formed a nonprofit encouraging girls to go into STEM. Then she leveraged that into a career as a politician. Rivas could be a role model especially for Latinas growing up. Hope this freshman can shine!

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
