Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

At the theater last night with Babette and before the show she nudged me and whispered "the ladies next to me are sharing baby pics" We laughed quietly together about grandbabies for a bit. Suddenly Babette said "Mama WHAT IS THAT" and I peeked and this is what that grandma was looking at. iykyk

Y'all, as a kid who grew up food-insecure, plz don't do this. There is nothing more demoralizing as a little kid than being reminded of your family's poverty. We looked forward to Halloween bc it was the 1 chance to be like every other kid and get access to treats the food banks never gave out.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that I'm surprised by this headline or the fact that I probably shouldn't be:

I thought of this day yesterday when I drove to the office and had to look at leaves without my Pearl. It wasn’t as fun.
Pearl and I had to drop some paperwork at the office so we got a coffee and took the scenic route: peeped some leafs, saw mountains bright and snowy against the sky, mist on a lake, some good dogs, and a vintage red mustang. Now she's sound asleep from the excitement :D

George informed me yesterday that our insurance policy is going up by 318/month but bc of the union contract we only pay 20.00 of that. I guess his work pays the rest? idk but I’m grateful for the union

For some reason algorithms have been showing me people who are nostalgic for 90s Seattle which is so funny to me bc when I worked for the Seattle Times in the 80s they ran a regular column by a guy complaining that Seattle was changing too much (KBO=keep the bastards out). Plus ça change I guess.
