Beginning January 1, 2026, the collection of Ontario’s residential recycling materials has been brought under a single province wide system. Some residents are not happy.

Honoured to co-author this piece on how early childhood systems shape the lives of families with disabled children — and the gendered, racialized, and classed labour placed on mothers and caregivers.

Alongside Coleen Dudley, Holidae Robinson, Tiasia Robinson, and Dr. Alana Butler, we reflected on how Black Joy acts as resistance, nurtures thriving, and shapes anti-racist pedagogies that centre Black student flourishing.

We have schools in #OntEd with condemned ventilation systems, electrical issues, leaking rooftops, and crumbling walls. Parents of children with special needs are being asked to keep their kids home due to a lack of special education staff. Bill 33 does nothing to solve this.

It was an honour to share about the work in the party and learn about the important issues impacting each of the MPP’s communities.
Thank you all for the work you do!

This past ONDP caucus retreat left me feeling energized about the work ahead of us! Led by Marit Stiles, the NDP caucus members are the Official Opposition in this province and they continue to take principled stances that make all of us in the movement very proud.

Thanks Jason!

I have volunteered on the executive since 2014 starting as the ERE Co-Chair when we reactivated that committee then as party VP in 2016 and party president in 2022 when I was elected as the first Black president of the ONDP.

I’m looking forward to running for re-election this weekend at the Ontario NDP convention! I’ve worked on anti-racist and outreach initiatives in the party. I have lots of lessons learned and high hopes for what can be accomplished by the ONDP during these difficult times faced by people across ON.
