On November 19, 1915, legendary labour activist Joe Hill was executed by firing squad–“murdered by the capitalist class”–in Sugar House Prison in Utah.

Before his death, Hill wrote to his comrade Big Bill Haywood: “Don’t waste any time in mourning. Organize.”
