Finally got Northern Harrier at my local patch! I watched it work up and down the marsh, at one point it darted through the treeline within 10 feet of me. #birds

We hiked 12 miles over the last weekend around the beaches and dunes north of Boston looking for Snowy Owl. Unfortunately struck out, but the ubiquitous Northern Harriers always provide excitement. #birds

The sunrise made the night sleeping in a 30 degrees(F) shack completely worth it.

Had a lovely trip to Orlando, FL where I visited the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. 11ish miles of great birding by car and on foot. At one point, two lifers strolled across the road right in front of my car. #birds

I love when they pose for portraits! This Red-shouldered hawk sat unperturbed until it shook its feathers out and broke its perch right off! #birds

The leaves turning outside my window made me reminisce of Kauai. 'Apanane red is the hot fall color.
