Not the ‘UK’ folks. The right to a jury trial was abolished here in the north of Ireland years ago. The imperial boomerang at work

I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

Just resharing a cover I made a few months back.
It's unofficial but was a good warm up for drawing again.

Hunt out the Ultramega graphic novels, they are pretty stunning.

If Goran got suspended for the reason I think (sharing Palestinian accounts looking for help from a genocide) this place needs to clean house of their moderation. It’s been pretty obvious they are cut from the same mold of tech rotted, socially bankrupt nerd that has ruined every other place.
Bluesky suspended Goran Gligovic, the guy that makes nice art. Jesus fucking Christ Bluesky

This equates to "people in ministerial positions that have direct links & interests to the private sector"
Farage is pretty rambling (economy doesn't feel like his strong point) but noteworthy comment here

"It's very much our ambition that we would have ppl in ministerial positions who were experts in their areas of expertise...10 energy ministers over 14 years. Not one of them had a clue about energy"
Nigel Farage is holding a post-budget press conference and his sidekick is Zia Yusuf. Yusuf does very much feel like the shadow (shadow) chancellor, rather than Richard Tice, who had been the party’s main voice on economics.

The UK Government has missed an opportunity in the #AutumnBudget to tackle pensioner poverty and support the two million older people forced to make drastic choices each day to get by across the UK.

mmmmmmmmmforbidden laaard baaalls
grease floats.

when it flows in sewage and into our plants, it thickens as temps fall, separating in our settling tanks.

the churning water forms grease globs that build like snowballs, and operators remove them so they don’t clog the process.

listen. don’t pour grease down your drains.

And honestly I don't give a fuck if it's popular or not. It's going to make a lot of kids' lives better. That's the point of government. Not an opinion poll.

Whatever else this government do (and there's plenty of issues with this budget) ministers will always be able to point to this as an incredible important contribution to the country's future. Almost half a million kids taken out of poverty.
Scrapping the two-child limit in full is a monumental decision. Well done to all involved in the Child Poverty Strategy, and everyone who has made the case against the policy.

OBR says scrapping costs £3 billion in 2029-30 and will lift 450,000 out of poverty
