the consulting company now setting up to shred American University uses the same report for every school and doesn't bother to change the filename on the pdfs
Oh one more thing--just downloaded their report again and the file name has University of New Hampshire in the file name. As if we didn't know they were doing the same thing at every school...

if a publisher contacts you directly about the release of one of their books with a few paragraphs of summary, suggests galleys are available, and invites you to pitch a review, do you take that as a targeted invitation based on your particular expertise or a just mass email? (asking for a friend)

i get the impulse not to speak ill of the dead except that those who tend to follow this impulse are hesitant to speak ill of the dead when they are living, too, which is at the heart of the problem
