Are there any historical examples of society taking a virus TOO seriously? Because all I can think of are examples where people were like "screw it, YOLO" and then a few years later ended up in an iron lung

Warum ich Drostens Aussagen zu Covid nicht nachvollziehen kann: Wenn ein Virus in der 8. Epidemiewelle innert 2 Jahren eine Krankheitslast zeitigt, die derjenigen einer schweren Influenzawelle nahekommt, sollte man jährliche oder zweijährliche Infektionen fürchten.

Warum ich Drostens Aussagen zu Covid nicht nachvollziehen kann: Wenn ein Virus in der 8. Epidemiewelle innert 2 Jahren eine Krankheitslast zeitigt, die derjenigen einer schweren Influenzawelle nahekommt, sollte man jährliche oder zweijährliche Infektionen fürchten.
