If D66 is confirmed as the largest party in the next parliament, it will be a historic result for them – the party has never been in that position before, AD notes: www.ad.nl/politiek/exi... Reported by @jakubkrupa.bsky.social in @theguardian.com

Last poll in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 before today's election appears to suggest a neck-to-neck race between PVV, D66, GroenLinks/PvdA and CDA.

BUT... always read the fine-print:

Only 26% of the Dutch electorate knew for certain what they would vote on the eve of the election!

Lots could still change.

Furthermore: UK media would benefit from having more foreign-born journalists and especially EU-born. @jakubkrupa.bsky.social is such a great example of someone who enriches its outlet's work with living experience and expertise
Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.

Another fascinating week in Poland.

I travelled 2,000 km+ over both rounds, conducted dozens of interviews in places where media - even less foreign - rarely ever get to, wrote 12 stories, edited five live blogs, and led the website on two election nights.
