The naivety & stupidity is not in falling for GOP lies, it's in how they resolve their conflicts of interest between the people who elect them & the sponsors who make them rich.
Democrats are so amateurish and naive to act on a promise of behavior in the future by people who shamelessly lie about their behavior in the past every single day.
November 11, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Wow! I bet that trick would work even better with GOP creeps.

I don't know where this "Commander" stuff came from. Surely it would better please the one who must be obeyed to rename the "Washington Redskins" to "Washington Orange Skins".
Epstein Stadium just doesn't have a good ring to it. Pass.
Now we know why he’s going to their game tomorrow.

Brexit was surrender to populist lies & fear-mongering. Make Brexit work is to move away from Johnson's idiotic "no-deal" Brexit. Incrementally, relations with the EU can be repaired & areas of common interest built upon, but some kind of instant undoing of Brexit is cloud Cuckoo land.
No it isn't. Brexit doesn't work, as we are finding out day after day. When you give in to the other side, because you can see no other hope, that is called surrender.
November 5, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Balderdash. Labour is pro-realism, not pro-Brexit.
Absurd. Fiddlesticks. Nonsense. The first step to set the UK on the path towards joining the EU is to vote for pro-EU parties, and not to vote for pro-brexit parties such as Labour.

This is so obvious it's somewhat embarrassing to need to point it out

Yes they were wrong about WMD, but it was Saddam Hussein's ploy to whip up hysteria with chemical weapons used against Iraqi Kurds, Scud missiles, possibly armed with chem/bio warheads, against Israel, building a giant canon aimed at Israel & playing games with UN weapons inspectors.
In the final years of his life, Dick Cheney earned praise for breaking with his beloved Republican Party and defying Donald Trump.

But Cheney, who died at 84 on Monday, never addressed the worst transgression of his decades in politics: his deployment of lies to grease the way to the Iraq invasion.
Dick Cheney and the big lie that should never be forgotten
It led to 4,400 dead US troops and 200,000 or so dead Iraqi civilians.

Except for Trump's shutdown, Trump's "endorsements" of losing candidates, Trump's refusal to fund SNAP, Trump's refusal to swear in Adelita Grijalva, Trump's murder campaign in the Caribbean and the Pacific, & above all:

TRUMP's REFUSAL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!

Reversing Brexit is as sensible as its corollary: reversing the reversing of Brexit by the next right-wing government. Remember coal & steel: nationalise, privatise, nationalise, etc. Labour's sensible alternative is to make Brexit work: incremental progress until rejoin can be made to stick.
Rachel Reeves says we have a £25 billion black hole

Rachel Reeves knows Brexit makes us £40 billion poorer

Rejoining the EU would give us a £15 billion surplus

Why doesn't Labour want what's best for the UK?

Tax rises? That'll be Brexit

Now remember & celebrate the brave RNLI people who were castigated for saving the lives of "illegals".
Train worker hero credited with saving lives in the Huntingdon knife attack named as Samir Zitouni.

If they were to de-naturalize Steve Bannon, not a bad idea in my view, would they deport him to Ireland or Germany?
November 3, 2025 at 9:26 PM
It's got nothing to do with religion. Jimmy Carter was a thoroughly good bloke & Trump is all malice & greed.
JIMMY CARTER WAS A TRUE 'CHRISTIAN,' HE DIDN'T DO THINGS TO BE NOTICED DOING THEM, HE DID THEM BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THEY NEEDED TO BE DONE. TRUMP CALLS HIMSELF A CHRISTIAN BUT THERE'S NOTHING CHRISTIAN ABOUT WHAT HE DOES. A CHRISTIAN WOULDN'T HAVE TO BE SUED TO USE FUNDS SET ASIDE TO FEED FAMILIES.

Is the self-declared genius getting mixed up with his own childhood experiences in apartheid South Africa?
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

Of course, female relatives of a certain age are all "aunts" in my family, irrespective of the genetics.
Zohran Mamdani has been nonstop campaigning for over a YEAR,

& the ONLY supposed lie they have caught him in is calling his mothers cousin “aunt.”

That’s it? That’s what tens of millions in oppo research got you?

Two things: 1) that is NOT a lie, it’s a cultural artifact. I have called my Mom’s

No, that's unfair. Liz Truss has class, she's an Oxford ?graduate?.
November 2, 2025 at 10:08 AM
No, in my view the royals would win such a referendum. As with privatised monopolies, there's more to be gained with proper regulation: open democratic accountability, clear job descriptions for "active" royals, value-for-money payments from the public purse, an end to all tax exemptions, etc.
Zack Polanski said the Green Party would be open to a Referendum on the Royal Family.

Do you want a Referendum so we can vote to get rid of this monstrosity?

Shouldn't that be Andrew LyingCreep Pedophile?
Nice to see that the rest of the world will now join our radio show in referring to him as Andrew Windsor.

Of course. Offsprings are especially proud of parents who turn up to school nights pissed.
It's a school night - but I've already had two beers in the last hour.

Should I have another?

Starmer not blabbing endlessly in public about human rights in Saudi Arabia speaks volumes. It signals that the Labour government is prioritising UK economic growth over performative politics. Grown-up politics works.
Time for this article again- Starmer’s silence on human rights in Saudi Arabia speaks volumes. It signalled the UK’s quiet complicity — prioritising arms sales and economic ties over accountability. @declassifieduk.org ‬⁩

As exiled activists, we were stunned to see the former human rights lawyer cosying up to Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Yes, but you can compensate by building a giant mausoleum for your balls.
If you have to tell people you're tall to defend your manhood you're short and a douchebag.

I expect the almighty to do her bit.
The loophole that Donald Trump is going to use to run for his 3rd, 4th, 5th term is that the ONLY people who can remove Donald Trump from an election are the Supreme Court.

What do you think they will do?

Absolutely nothing.

Don't be too harsh on them - they may all be afflicted with bone spurs.

... & what about the cost of maintenance? Raising, lowering, washing, repairing, mast maintenance, etc?
October 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Point taken, welcome news, but it's the abolition of a tax exemption, not a wealth tax.
More good news for the Chancellor ahead of the budget next month!

Here we have an actual and workable wealth tax...which is raising more tax than expected.
Well would you look at that
