My oldest got chosen to be the head Lucia for our church's very-Swedish Julfest.
I was worried that my enby kid wouldn't want to do it because it's a very gendered thing, but they are SO excited, and so am I, and I just keep looking at early pageant pics and getting all warm and fuzzy!

My oldest got chosen to be the head Lucia for our church's very-Swedish Julfest.

I seriously sometimes cannot believe how unhinged normal life has gotten in this timeline. Just this morning I reposted something on FB about Trump saying "Quiet, quiet, Piggy" to a reporter, and was like... is this... real?? Like... how is this real?

I watch crime procedurals to fall asleep and I've gotten through Criminal Minds (at least twice!), most CSIs, and recently watched through NCIS: New Orleans, but y'all, IDK if it's the time of life or if it's the show, but I literally cannot stay awake for OG NCIS. It is like hardcore tryptophan.

Its been a full day already this morning. My dad called to tell me that the Amtrak train to NOLA was canceled. They are, in fact - flooding in Tennessee. I was able to purchase Greyhound tix for him, but maybe just barely - and the return trip is a nightmare - NOLA to ATL to Chicago to Champaign.
