Scotland is a separate nation with its own set of laws and policies, to fail to make that clear is to essentially treat it as the same as England, is to diminish its status. I`m pretty sure if we covered the whole landmass in the Saltire and spoke of it as Scotland we would soon be put right.

Meanwhile, Scotland is the member who has to hand over their pay packets to the 'head' of the house, get's half back to spend on themselves, has to pay interest in the debt when the head overspends, and isn't allowed to move out to another home that suits them better.
Britons are that family – and the giant hole in the roof is Brexit.

Note how the BBC bulletins said 23000 died unnecessarily, implying that was UK wide fault. Sky reported it correctly as England only.

In USA, Canada, & Australia, in France & Germany & many other states, regional govts had powers to have very different responses
