The invective that Daisley hurls at Muslims he would have hurled at my great-grandparents when they came here and indeed much of it is still true of the ethnic group he slobbers over. 'Aggressive integration policies' do not work in France and would diminish Jewish life here in the UK.

No, it's not. It's all a lie. The blunt truth is across the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them.
Outstanding piece by Stephen Daisley.

Ethnicity is no barrier to Britishness - it's culture and integration.

That means 'smaller cohorts and aggressive integration policies' - and tackling the institutions that 'have amplified grievance narratives and radical anti-Western ideologies'.

Written before today's attack on a Manchester synagogue. It's the kind of piece I never thought I'd write.

Thank you to the GMP officers who, it seems, prevented the terrorist hurting anyone else. And thank you to the CST volunteers who protect British Jews every day. For those doing so, wishing them an easy fast.

Let’s cut through the bullshit pretence around free speech. At best that is motivated reasoning, at worst it is hate-mongers using liberalism they despise as cover while laughing at our free society.

Every individual, every organisation and public body committed to peaceful politics in the UK needs to stop posting on it. You know the mantra: The best time to do that was months ago, the second best time is now.

This is a victory for organized labor that could lay the groundwork for similar efforts in other states.

The deal brings Uber and Lyft on board with a pathway to unionization for ride-hailing workers after the companies spent years fighting against the idea.

All governments are imperfect but they are NOT "all the same".

The lazy trope that "it doesn't matter who you vote for" isn't just false; it feeds the nihilism on which the radical right prey.

It's like a burning tyre, coating everything in acrid smoke, choking off any meaningful democratic choice
Compare and contrast the plutocratic US government's grotesque help for the richest... with social democratic Britain. Like night and day.
