Also, in my observation - if someone is proactively DMing you offering a commission, it's a scam. Artists don't do that. They open for commissions, wait for YOU to contact THEM (through appropriate channels) and if they take you on as a client, THEN the private messages (or emails) start.
periodic reminder: Don't trust random people who may impersonate artists with really any sized following online. Always check the handle and be sure!!
