I’m glad to see @booker.senate.gov take a stand. Yesterday would have been better, but today is better than tomorrow.
Honestly.

“Booker’s filibuster is happening too late in the game”

“It’s too cordial to Repubs”

The glory of Dems is their diversity & big tent

The challenge of Dems is their diversity & big tent.

They CAN work together, but it’s harder

PLEASE see this—at a time when it can’t be more important
People have been screaming for action from Dems for over 2 months

Recognize when Dems stand up & push back.

You may want more, but it won’t come if you scorn any & all action.

Offer some kind of public “payoff,” & more people will stand up.

Don’t fall into yet another Democratic purity test.

Does anyone else think of the Laverne and Shirley opening when you see “Schimel”?
Elon Musk has committed a blatant felony by offering money for votes in order to help Brad Schimel. This is a chainsaw attack on democracy and the rule of law. Musk should be brought to justice immediately. 🧵

These are the Democratic caucus Senators who caved on the cloture vote today:

Cortez Masto
Durbin
Fetterman
Gillibrand
Hassan
King
Peters
Schatz
Schumer
Shaheen

Shame on Schumer. I hope he retires or loses his primary. Meanwhile he needs to be pushed out of leadership for Murphy (not Schatz).

So the Bernie/AOC type class-based rhetoric and the Abundance movement policy appeal to me. Am I crazy? Is there a natural intersection? Is anyone synthesizing this? @ezrakleinbot.bsky.social @sanders.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social @jacobinmagazin.bsky.social
