And two days ago regardless of the heat my light pink dahlias burst into bloom. I swear it’s the humidity that cussed it. They are such beautiful flowers.

It’s legit hilarious how Trump is tripping over himself to secure Western hemisphere oil production and China one day is just gonna say haha you can keep it. 🤡

He didn't shoot her in the head at point blank range because he felt like he was in danger. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he was furious that she wasn't afraid of him. He shot her in the head at point blank range because he felt emasculated.

So, can we talk about the ICE action at Roosevelt for a minute? I feel like it has been a bit lost in the face of the bigger story about the murder. None of the reporting explains what, exactly, ICE was doing there. Only that they were tackling people. Have they given any reason at all?
“'The guy, I’m telling him like, "Please step off the school grounds," and this dude comes up and bumps into me and then tells me that I pushed him, and he knocked me down,' an official at Roosevelt High School said. 'They don’t care. They’re just animals. I’ve never seen people behave like this.'"

As we begin 2026, a new development threatens to further undermine voting by mail. A recent rule change at the U.S. Postal Service means that postmarks will no longer reflect the date a piece of mail was deposited at a local post office. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/how-...

According to my sources, the FBI was initially open to a concurrent investigation with the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (the state agency that would do this investigation).

Trumpy U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen heard about this and intervened, barring the FBI from cooperating with local police.

Reality keeps ruining the script…

TRUMP: A professional agitator ran over an ICE agent who barely survived.

THE ICE AGENT: not only looks uninjured physically, he seems mentally fine, not shaken up, unbothered, walking away from the scene.

i can never say enough how when i look for movement elders, the people i see still doing the work are the people who made space for music, art, relationships, and joy

people think it is cliche, but you really cannot pour from an empty cup. and that doesn’t mean you take a bubble bath every week.
oldhead advice from an oldhead.

every couple years, newcomers to the movement think "THIS is finally it, the moment when the dam breaks and the whole system is overthrown"

and when it doesn't happen they lose patience and get disillusioned and drop out of movement work

gotta build for long term
