In retrospect, I should have put this at the beginning, but I do not support the Latine people or any people who voted for trump. This thread not in their defense. The thesis of this thread is to show how division is sowed and that division is the tool of the oppressor.

(6) There is a clear pattern of Black Americans being treated as if they didn’t have agency. These narratives are not coming from within the community. It’s usually the press/white owned media that’s fanning the flames. The reason these narratives pop up is to hide the fact that oppressions are tied

(5) Finally, this “Black Americans vs <insert group>” has continuously been used to isolate the Black community from any other community so that the oppressors can divide and conquer. It was “Black Americans vs Asians” then “Black Americans vs Africans” then “Black Americans vs Palestinians”… (5)

(4) The vast majority of Latine people live in central and South America, and have no sway on American politics as well as having their own local political issues. But they are still affected by anti-Latin discrimination (including Black Latin people) whether they live in America or not. (4)
March 14, 2025 at 9:48 AM
(3) While instead the issue that this title is abstracting is much larger and much more nuanced. Latine Voters don’t represent all of Latin America, in fact, they are in the minority (there are much more Latine people in the Latin population who didn’t vote, because they aren’t Americans!) (3)

(2) This feels like a psyop because it is boiling down the very real existence anti-Latine discrimination and racism into a culture war between “Latin[e] voters” and Black Americans (I say “culture war” because the affects this language will be more present online; ‘Twitter fingers…’ and all). (2)

Oof, this article feels like a psyop and I’ll why. First, I strongly encourage you to look up “what is a psyop” and “what are some real examples of psyops that happened in the past”. Looking things up on your own is an important habit/skill to have, just copy and past what I typed in quotations. (1)

The frustrating thing about it is that it’s so commonly used as a deflection because the person lack the emotional regulation/self awareness/honesty to face a topic head on without pointing to something else 😮‍💨

The reality is that anyone who believes that anywhere in the west is a valid place to seek refuge is not skinfolk to begin with.

Coogler and Ludwig and a Nolan collab got me hyped cubed, the supernatural stuff is just the icing on top!
New details on Ryan Coogler's #Sinners

• Vampires are 'not the only supernatural element' in the film

• Christopher Nolan gave advice on filming the movie with 65mm

• Composer Ludwig Göransson was on set daily and earned an exec producer credit

Marvel. It’s easier to write stakes and grounded stories when your characters aren’t all overpowered in some way. Also better power scaling when the starting isn’t “faster than light”

Put me near infrastructure and and the stores where I buy necessities. Semi-rural with < 1 hour from a metro area feels ideal.

Ancient Chinese history in general is wild - Taiping Rebellion, how Chen Sheng founded the Han Dynasty, having multiple ww2 level events, Metropolitan cities were flooded out several times and people just returned and settled again creating a city on top of a city.
3. What historical event is almost unbelievable when you think about it?

Agreed, the only answer in line with human rights, is to secure everyone’s ability to survive given none of us were asked to be here. The least someone working a job where they’re likely consistently disrespected, is to be able to go home (being exhausted) and not struggle with surviving.
Agree or Disagree?

15. The minimum wage needs to be raised.

Hypothetically speaking, we’ve seen too much evidence of the failures of vertical power structures. And so, “world leaders” shouldn’t even exist. That aside, yes they should be elected by the popular vote in a ranked choice voting system and not the first past the post voting system America has.
Agree or Disagree?
14. World leaders should be elected by popular vote.
