We saw this spider in the house the night before, upon scaring and having it hid under cabinets we went to sleep. Next day he was walking on the wall and we gently removed & released it. Today we saw bunch of them and realized it is a Brazilian Wandering Spider, one of the most venomous spiders.🕷️😬😍

Akademik yayıncılık zaten atıf dalavereleriyle doluydu, LLMler üstüne tüy dikti.

"Büyük devrim, her şey değişecek, ayak uyduramayan geride kalacak!" Al, ayak uydur halüsinasyon atıflara.
Grading and googling hallucinated citations, as one does nowadays, and now that LLMs have been around for a while, I've discovered new horrors: hallucinated journals are now appearing in Google Scholar with dozens of citations bc so many people are citing these fake things

I feel like my brain is being fried with every business document I am reading recently. With everyone relying on LLMs everything is now wordier, lost its personal luster to became stale.

It’s like talking to army of ppl w/ the same blurred face hearing the same monotonous voice in each interaction.

I am one of those who lucky ones with vaccination schedule fulfilled not once but twice (d/t green card processing). I strongly suggest completing your missing vax before the administration makes it harder to get them further so you can stay protected from upcoming waves of preventable diseases.

I spoke with Ian Lopez at Bloomberg about Kirk Milhoan

I said Milhoan has made “deeply irresponsible, dangerous, untrue claims about the COVID-19 vaccine, which I believe make him entirely unsuitable to chair ACIP.”

I am so sick of rage-baiting headlines on all sides.
Yes there is one side that definitely deserves the rage we feel, but manipulative journalism/ reactive social media is not doing any good either.
It is tiring, draining and makes us lose nuances on what to react and how to react in general.

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

I have the same reaction.
Also interestingly I don’t find CG generated images for fiction (movies or games) but when I see an AI generated image or video used sloppily instead of a natural one that can be easily found, it is extremely cringey.

They just look wrong-despite might be looking perfect.
Even when there are no obvious artifacts, the generated images often have a weird uncanny sheen to them that I personally find vaguely revolting. I can’t really turn that reaction off.
