A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

Kind of confusing why 30 days are needed when there are pictures of Pam Bondi with folders of Epstein files showing them off.

One of the things I think really helps @robsandia.bsky.social is that he consistently does his job as auditor well.

He doesn't do the culture war political stuff Breanna Bird does. He just finds misspent money and holds people accountable to Iowans.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Yup. Republican and Trump MAGA policies have really hit hard in the state of Iowa.

Anyone voting for them in 2026 and 2028 are voting against their own economic self-interests.
