Hi there - to all the nobody who actually sees and reads my posts. Chronic health flares cause brain fog, and ADHD exacerbates it. So here I am four months later remembering that this account even exists. #brainfog #chronicillness #adhd #invisibledisability #i'mnotjustforgetful

Far past time, actually. In fact, I switched to the fancy holiday version without even realizing it.

Even with jobs we can do on our own hours at home (i do sewing and alterations), there are times chronically ill people can't work because of symptoms flaring up. #chronicillness #ihatefeelingsick #nopto #nauseasucks

Insomnia sucks. And it's far more common with chronic illness and mental illness of all sorts than most people realize. #Insomnia

Celiac makes it so hard to go out with family and friends. I've been asked to choose a restaurant for Christmas lunch with my family of 16, and while I'm grateful they understand and want to accommodate me, it's a lot of pressure.

There’s something ironic about people claiming some autistic people are “faking their autism”.

As many of us were “faking” being normal for so long.

and yet again I have to cancel something I was looking forward to because my immune system is so busted that a common cold knocks me out for weeks :(

One of the affects of having multiple chronic issues, especially when any of them fall under the #autoimmune category, is that it makes acute illnesses (cold, flu, etc.) harder on us. An otherwise healthy person often continues their day as usual, while #chronicillness + sick = absolute exhaustion.

Sharing to spread awareness. I have nearly 2 dozen chronic/invisible illnesses, and hadn't heard of this one. So many rare ones like this get overlooked.

As someone who deals with a rare illness, I want to bring attention to it. I created this infofrapgic to give some information about Adrenal Insufficiency and where to find out more information about it.

Much like deep breathing or gentle consistent movement or elderberry syrup, it can help some aspects, but doesn't cure anything, and especially not chronic illness and genetic disorders.
While energy work is a beautiful practice & has done amazing wonders its not a medical cure-all. Folks with disabilities exist in this community & being told their life long/ chronic condition needs energy work to heal is harmful to the spiritual community & the disabled folks in it. #witchsky

We mask our symptoms & reactions from others all the time. I just realized I'm masking from myself now. #chronicillness is slowing down my cooking for our harvest dinner, & I'm pushing down my feelings because strong emotional reactions will only make the physical things worse right now. #disability

Why is it so effing hard to shower sometimes?

And why don't we talk about how chronic illness affects things like that?

Just FYI, if you were expecting there to be some sort of schedule or consistency to the posts here, you must not know much about chronic illness. Between feeling bad physically and feeling bad mentally and having poor memory, I just post when I can and think about it. #chronicillness #disability

When your list of chronic illnesses is so long you can't remember them all, and they get tired of taking turns flaring up so they decide to have a party, but a gathering of chronic illness flares is not a fun party, at least not when your body the venue.

Audiobooks count as reading.

There are so many reasons one might choose audiobooks: to read while driving or running or bicycling; to read while cleaning or cooking or showering; to read without lights on; because they're unable to comfortable hold a book; poor vision; or maybe they just want to.
Audiobooks count as reading.

I was a psych inpatient for a bit many years ago, and I remember a fellow patient complaining about the safety mirror in her bathroom "because I'm already seeing shit, i don't need a funhouse mirror to make it worse".
Well, I’ll never be asked to sing Christmas songs at the psych ward again

Apparently, “do you hear what I hear”, was the wrong choice?
