It's led to me learning more about how politics affect this type of thing, to sitting out when I want to be protesting or volunteering or something. Having to advocate for myself uses energy I'd like to put toward others. I think it's made me more determined but fear I'm also less effective.

It's a reference to how often chronically ill people have "normal" lab results and our doctors act like it's great news and send us away still having no answers for our symptoms or treatments to help us.

It will cost you shallow friends who don't share your principles and values, but it will lead you to more like-minded friends and deeper connections with them.

Currently fighting a cold which causes that same effect for me. And then it's hard to eat or take meds because I can't smoke enough to ease the nausea. Here's hoping we can both breathe easier soon.

Wonderful meatsuits, and I love having them visit, and it is also sometimes overwhelming to my system.
