So many people claim "everyone is obsessed with labels now"
But before mine were confirmed, I was still being labelled...and all of those labels were far more hostile than Autism and ADHD.
At least those two labels are accurate, and explain a lot about myself that I couldn't make sense of before.

ADHD is wild sometimes because what do you mean I struggle to do basic household tasks during the day, but then suddenly have the urge to rearrange all the furniture late at night. 🤷🏻♀️

“Diagnosis Overshadow” is a term for where a healthcare provider keeps assuming traits are attributed to established conditions rather than considering other conditions … and regularly prevents Autism from being considered.
Were any other late recognised autism and ADHD peeps also told they just had anxiety and depression? Without the full picture being considered?

Reminder this Christmas that you might have disabled friends and family members who can’t go out, can’t drink or eat what you are, and might have to cancel last minute or leave early.
