Has Elon submitted an email with 5 bullet points indicating what he did at Tesla last week?

Does he have a pulse?

How about Twitter, SpaceX, nueralink, the boring company?
Tesla’s shareholders just lost another $38,640,000,000 today — a total $TSLA loss of $600 billion since December.

Tesla’s CEO was not in the office.

In literally any other public company ever, this would be the point where the CEO gets fired.

How to beat MAGA:

Get the base to support candidates so awful that every day conservatives won't vote for them in the general.

Mark Cuban seems like a pretty smart dude but this is a bad take.

The door could be blown off it's hinges and 99% of MAGA will never walk through it.

We should be better but not for this reason.
I think it already is.

But seriously. Don’t call them names. We want the door open for them when they realize the mistake they made.

We are for a better America. Not a vindictive America
Hey Mark do you think voters remorse will ever hit the magat crowd

It's amazing seeing all of the MSM news anchors flocking here and immediately getting hundreds of thousands of follows.

We've truly learned nothing.

In 2019 the trump admin. spent $775 of your tax dollars per person per day to hold children in detention centers.

The average American earns $228 dollars per day before taxes.

How much of your money will they grift this time?

On MSNBC last night they kept hammering how bad Dems are at messaging.

Next segment they played a clip of a GOP house member starting the election was a landslide, which MSNBC didn't refute.

The popular vote is 2% / 3M votes different right now.

2020 was 5% / 7M votes.

Media is the problem.

The first TW of solar power took 68 years to deploy.

The second TW took just two years ('22-'23).

Our current global instantaneous electricity usage is about 18 TW.

We probably need to deploy about 80 TW to support 100% of electricity needs with just solar.

Thinking we can do it in 20-30 years.

There is an ecosystem (algorithmically driven) on tiktok/Twitter/etc that makes Trump look reasonable.

People aren't dumb. They like good policy but it's very hard to combat a firehose of propaganda.

The only way to win is not to play the game (get off socials) and 70M people won't do that.
"The problem is most people simply do not absorb quality information. Instead, increasing numbers have a media diet that is mostly a bunch of lies, conspiracy theories, and irrelevant diatribes that right-wing propagandists use to deceive people."
Why millions voted for both Trump and progressive policies
Trump voters backed abortion, minimum wage, and family leave — and don't get that Project 2025 would take it away

At what point should social media posts, comments, RTs, etc. be considered donations in kind for political campaigns?

Sat down with some Gen Z co-workers before the election as they scrolled their various feeds.

Flattering trump clips were constantly being served up with feel good dopamine inducing shorts.

Biden and Harris deep fakes were interspersed with neutral and negative feed "balancing" content.

"few of these good actors feel like they have the power to speak out against the rising extremism of the big tycoons"

Also those speaking out aren't getting "likes," social media boosts, etc. because folks are concerned about scrutiny of their public like lists.

"In just three years, oil-rich Texas has added the solar equivalent of 12 nuclear reactors"

Japan takes 5 years to build a reactor, the U.S. 15+.

Hard to comprehend the speed of solar.

In Record Texas Heat Wave, ACs Keep Humming on Renewable Power
Texas may be known for its oil and natural gas, but with temperatures breaching 100F (38C) across the state for a full two weeks, it’s been wind and solar power that helped keep residents cool.

Why do my banks keep "upgrading" their user interfaces to demonstratively worse designs?

Why remake perfectly functional products into less intuitive platforms that require more clicks to complete transactions?

We should be living in the golden age of UX / UI.

Humanity's average instantaneous power consumption is about 18 TW.

The average instantaneous power absorption by CO2 in the atmosphere is about 20,000 TW.

This is why GHG emissions reduction and eventually removal/sequestration is required.

Power usage isn't heating the earth, GHG emissions are.
June 24, 2023 at 1:35 PM
Carbon credits are high tech indulgences.

We would be better off if emitters were forced to directly invest in and implement emission reducing technologies to prevent GHG emissions from their processes rather than buying some nebulous, probably fake, reduction elsewhere.

The problems with Starlink (and a potential solution)...

The concept behind Starlink is great.

The ability to provide cost effective reliable broadband internet to rural, wilderness, and mobile customers in our modern world is a necessity.

ClimateTech hardware solutions I'm playing around with:

- autonomous electric lawn equipment
- large capacity portable batteries
- geothermal/ground source heat pumps
- high aspect ratio radial flux motors
- toroidal propulsion
- deployable solar

Know I'll have to parse down but on a tear for now.
