I have been charged in a federal indictment sought by the Department of Justice.

This political prosecution is an attack on all of our First Amendment rights. I’m not backing down, and we’re going to win.

No more flu vaccines, which are updated regularly. No HIV vaccine we were on the cusp of creating as a feat of humanity in this ongoing epidemic. Rural areas will suffer most.

May future generations forgive and correct the ignorance and hate of this one.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announces he will cancel $500 million in vaccine development projects.

Great question:

How much do the tax payers have to pay for a fascist country?
Question for Mike Flood: With $450 million being allocated to Alligator Alcatraz, and ICE burning through $8.4 million a day to illegally detain people—How much does it cost for fascism? How much do the tax payers have to pay for a fascist country?

Republicans complain about Texas Democrats “fleeing”—yet just days ago, they themselves fled D.C. to avoid voting on the Epstein files.

Why? To protect a convicted felon sitting in the Oval Office.

One side dodges accountability.
The other fights for democracy.

For America’s 249th birthday, we must acknowledge the unpleasant truth that life for Black people in Florida has worsened under Gov. DeSantis.
DeSantis Represents a Clear and Present Danger to Black Floridians
Gov. DeSantis has made racism and white grievance politics central to his governance; Black Floridians be damned.

This is what I’m so worried about
I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

There’s something deeply wrong with a society that watches people get snatched by masked men in unmarked cars & looks the other way.

Rep @kamlager-dove.house.gov, describes an alarming system of relocating detainees, making it nearly impossible for their families to find them or get legal counsel.

Litman: The irony of this just spillth over—because the Biden administration was subject to nationwide injunction after nationwide injunction in cases that didn’t warrant it. And they asked the Supreme Court, “Guys, can you do something about this?” The Republican justices declined to do so.

1/ If Justice Barrett thinks we need to go back to what the Founding Fathers intended, I’ve got news for her. Their biggest concern was avoiding tyranny. So they created 3 branches of gov’t & divvied up the power the people (that’s us) were allowing the gov’t to use to create order for all of us.

Before this ruling, when slavery turned into convict leasing, white people would put Black women in cells with Black men and watch them be raped and then cede custody of the kids born from it to work b/c they were not citizens under the law. You can see the size of these cells at Whitney Plantation
Justice Sotomayor reminds us why we have birthright citizenship...

to fix the 1857 SCOTUS ruling in Dred Scott v. Sandford that prevented children of people from African decent from ever becoming United States citizens regardless if they were free or enslaved
