This and the comments got my attention and then I saw it in a list of 5 books to read in an Atlantic article today. It’s on my to read list.
I’m rereading 100 Years of Solitude & wished i knew enough Spanish to read the original BUT I’ve now learned that the Gregory Rabassa. translation of One Hundred Years of Solitude is considered to be the best and Marques himself preferred it over the Spanish original. Interesting!!
