Truth is, I probably would've noticed the mistakes in time for the usual posting schedule, but both my sleep and work schedule got a little bumpy today and I had to rush things a bit.

John is helped into the cryogenics chamber as the AI's begin their final operation. Put in sequence the three of them go over the processes involved as the freeze John, prepare the outgoing distress and warning messages, and all the other measures needed for their plan. The last image is fading to black and consists of John, now slumbing and frozen and with a somber looking Atropos watching over him.

Then he calls up Nigel, head of security, splitting the screen with Ashley Daryil: "Nigel, what's the situation?" Nigel: "The attackers seem to have left, but we're still on high alert. I'm organising a roll-call to see if anyone's missing." Daryil: "Very good. I know you're busy, but can you check on Lady Finch and Hayley? Top priority. We need to make sure they're still in our custody." Nigel: "At once, my lord." Daryil: "Sheila, Syd... Can you fetch Illiath here, please? Be careful, in case there are stragglers." Syd: "Yes, sir!"

MD explaining the nature of the planet in BNJ over a number of diagrams. The first 2 show a normal planet in both rounded and flattened form. The 3rd shows that the planet sits within a much larger planet whose inside resembles the night sky and that the planet has an extra axis denoting the flow of magical energy. The final diagram shows a cutaway view of the the inner and outer planets, showing that the sun orbits between them.

The final detonation of the space station occurs as the AIs rattle off emotionless data recording its destruction. John is shown slack and limp watching it as they try to get his attention. They grab him, show he's been crying. The Ais explain that John's using up his time and he needs to get into the cryostasis chamber now. John acknowledges and a defeated and broken man is escorted away from the images of destruction.
