I had a conversation related to this at the anti-vax conference that didn't make it into my piece. This guy and I were chatting about folks being kidnapped by ICE even though they hadn't been found guilty of a crime and he said, "Well, the Constitution only applies to citizens."
From the people who brought you "oh so it's racist to say that white people are better than black people?" comes "find me a single place in the law where it says not to commit murder."

My cousin made me a maple ice cream pie with candied bacon for my bachelor party, and I regret that this poor benighted soul has never contemplated such pastry.
I get a lot of hate for this view and in turn I'd only ask if you've ever had a pie as good as a typical cheesecake. The answer is no, you have not. Cheesecake invalidates the whole pie category. Hell, regular cake barely survives the cheesecake onslaught on the strength of carrot cake alone.
The dirty secret of pies is that they have the lowest ceiling potential of all sweets. Your best pie is merely fine. Your median pie is bad.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
