Music lovers’ favourite day of the year, Record Store Day, returns this April—and there are plenty of exclusives to excite vinyl collectors. Today, the Record Store Day Australia team has unveiled the massive first batch of local RSD artists. From Empire Of The Sun releasing WALKING ON A DREAM – EXPANDED EDITION to Holy Holy commemorating their fans upon entering an indefinite hiatus last year and releasing the vinyl debut of Sweet Bitter Sweet, there’s something for everyone. Other local exclusives include Kee’ahn’s for me, for you x on vinyl, Crooked Colours with a purple splash edition of Vera, a blue vinyl release of Kutcha Edwards with the Melbourne Youth Orchestra’s Warta-Kiki, Spacey Jane’s Live At The Hordern Pavilion released on limited edition coke bottle green-coloured vinyl, a live compilation from NSW record store Hiss & Crackle, and more. You can check out the local list of exclusives below and on the Record Store Day Australia website. Record Store Day returns on Saturday, 18 April. The world’s largest celebration of independent music stores, RSD features exclusive releases, performances, and pop-up events each year in stores across the country.
