In my childhood I never left the south and now here I am 😭 this year I’ve been to: Chicago twice (soon thrice), North Carolina, Houston, Philadelphia, and NYC. Next year I’m going to be in NYC twice, Germany, and definitely Chicago and NC at different points (that’s just what I know for sure)

My relationship with Florida/the South remains strange and unknowable. I hate it here. It’s home. I want to leave. I like where I live. I can see myself taking a job in the south down the line. If/When my parents leave my hometown I think I may never go back again. !????????

I only applied to four summer festivals this year (viola stuff, basically you go play in an orchestra and shit for a month at the festivals I applied to) and I NEED them to start getting back to me. I’m going crazy waiting 😭
