Call me Impossible Traveler, because I’m the red flag everyone is looking for.
I’m proud that I chose to learn Norwegian.

(Jeg er stolt over at jeg valgte å lære norsk).

The words “$1 trillion dollar pay package” have no business ever being strung together in a sentence.

Although shareholders-in-mass passed that, it’s good to see that the Norwegian fund said no.

The scammers have figured out I work in tech, so they’re sending me phishing texts that sound like the beginning of an unwelcome Slack conversation.

They trust me to, as a Pavlov’s dog, instinctually reply, “Yeah, what’s up?”

Not enough has been mentioned about how web ads, most specifically mobile web ads, are pushing people to use AI chatbots that have already crawled the page they would have clicked on.

Sauber did not have any champagne ready for Hulkenberg's podium, so they were lent some from Mercedes so they could celebrate in a rather nice gesture. #F1 #BritishGP

Fitting that such a great writer would have such a well-written take on this.
Thread about AI art in SF/F magazines and the assumption that authors have a ton of power to stop this.

Many people in the genre saw this post from the editor of Interzone rightly taking Asimov's to task for using what appears to be a cover with AI art. 1/

There should be a corner at Home Depot where a guy with a table saw will slice you off custom lengths of hot dog from an infinite hot dog coming out of the wall

Finished this one from @mikebrooks668.bsky.social the other day.

Really enjoyed it - his depiction of Blackheart was intriguing, and he had me cheering for Griza Dallax. A credit to Holy Mars, that one.

Everyone pays for red-teamers, it’s just a matter of when you pay for them, and how much.

Guys, calm down, you heard the Treasury Secretary - the market’s just “detoxing.”

Like a juice cleanse.

The market’s exfoliating.

Americans fucked up so bad they have central bankers talking like William Wallace
Canadian Prime Minister–designate Mark Carney:

"The Americans want our resources, our water, our land, our country. If they succeeded, they would destroy our way of life. In America, healthcare is big business. In Canada, it is a right."

If there’s truth to this, the next hacker mantra’s going to be, “You don’t know how your software works, but we do.”

Getting tired of seeing people say we need to get rid of the USPS.

CLEARLY, FedEx is the one we need to abolish. I don’t care if they get any federal funding or not.

You: golfing on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Maybe hiking. Enjoying the company of your loved ones.

Me: Trying to get ChatGPT to teach me about ARM64 assembly in Norwegian.

We are not the same. (I am much weirder, and don’t go outside as much).
