I could see that working if Zoe calmed down a bit. Hoping that Rylan and Fleur are not involved - would spoil my viewing for sure.

I'm sorry, but after looking at the pancake with cucumber, bacon, etc, and the red dollops (?), I'm in the liver paté camp 😸

I'm worried for 2026. The Chinese will be emboldened to take over Taiwan & appear to be well pissed off about Venezuela. Putin will also now be encouraged to be even more aggressive, perhaps with the small Baltic countries. And who knows what N Korea might fancy. I feel it's not looking good at all.

I'll see if I can find it, it was a while back.

Yup, same from my vet. I also read a scientific paper which found that people involved in car accidents had a higher than normal Toxo exposure +ve.

He should have thought of that in Jul-24.....

If you get a chance to try them in France maybe just risk another bite?

They are the best thing! Just lightly dusted with flour then fried in butter 'til golden brown.

It doesn't "feel" like that, it always is like that. Re. Starmer, a quote from Burns is appropriate, "Oh would some Power the gift gie us, to see ourselves as others see us!".

Has there ever been a UK Prime Minister with less cojones than this guy? He's quite unbelievable 🙄

“If it’s in our national interest … then we should consider that, we should go that far,” he told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg. Absolutely dripping wet.

The month isolation may have been shortened. Zorro was done about 10y ago. But some isolation should be required because a treated cat is excreting radioactive iodine. Poor Zorro was never quite the same after returning home. He would rarely leave our garden, having previously wandered the village.

For all that I agreed with most of his ideas, Corbyn was a disaster and didn't need any conspiracy to sink him. His stance on Brexit alone was enough reason for his demise.
January 4, 2026 at 6:34 PM
The treatment was done at Bristol Vet School which is meant to be top notch, but when the hypertyroidism came back they just said that can happen. And yes it cost us over £2k. The treatment also requires isolation, in Zorro's case 1 month, which took a toll on him mentally.
January 4, 2026 at 6:24 PM
For a 14y old cat it's not worth the expensive radioactive iodine treatment, just go with Thyronorm + regular check-ups. Did the "one-off" treatment for our cat Zorro when he was 9y, cause he would have lots of years ahead of him. But it came back after 4 years so he ended up on Thyronorm anyway.
