The Dewey Decimal System used to only have two classifications for Black people: 325 (colonization) & 326 (slavery). Each book by a Black person was put into one of these classifications. A book of poetry? Classified as colonization.

Reaching a moment where admitting "I was wrong" becomes overwhelming often happens due to a history of poor choices, harmful actions, or indifference. For many, especially without restorative justice, it's easier to live in denial than to take responsibility.
For historians/ppl who know history: did the German public who were complicit with the rise of nazism ever realize they were the bad guys? After the end of the war, did the public by & large understand they were wrong? Or were they just upset they lost? I know you can’t generalize to everyone but…

I happened upon the last 30 minutes of School Of Rock, which 1. still is a delight, and 2. revived and reinforced my opinion that Jack Black's performance in this is the most singular Movie Star Shit work in the last couple decades. Specific to his skills, yes, but literally no one else could do it.
