The average precipitation in January for the city is 75 mm (rain/snow).
So far, we've had 0.5 mm this year. Next week's forecast shows zero precip., and one small chance thru the 26th.
Great for aurora hunting, terrible for the flora and fauna.

When at burials, they intone “From dust to dust”; they’re telling it as it is. Everything comes from dust: trees, plants extract their substance cell by cell from the soil in which they grow; all the food we eat comes from crops grown in dirt. We’re just outgrowths of dirt. Yet so arrogant we are!
