We are the sum total of all our present moments & I'm glad you & your Dad got to share as many moments as you did. While I admire your Dad, his current Commander-in-Chief probably thinks he was sucker: because while youR Dad was being shot, Trump—genius that he is—was ducking the landmines of VD.

Tragically, we mistakenly call ducks "loons" when the real loons are some of the people around us. While I'm not certain when—the craziness started before Reagan, was ushered in by him & it never left. Recently +77M loons put the biggest loon in charge. Still, thank you for the kind wish for peace.

Did not have & no longer have the wherewithal to live in San Francisco—too long a story to tell—but it's still my favorite place & the reason why I now know the words saudade & hiraeth & why the French say "tu me manques" literally "you're missing from me" (because SF is literally missing from me).

Blue skies or not; this is still a beautiful sight. From whence the yellow & brown hues? It's just luck, grace, providence that the leaves in fall offer the cornucopia of color that they do. They could just as easily have dropped off branches in globs of stinking puke-like grey & black, yet ....

Many will not appreciate this because of who said it; but would that we were like bees: producing that which is wholesome even as we consume but without harming, damaging, despoiling the source of our well-being & prosperity; producing for ourselves while contributing to the well-being of all.

In my culture, we know we can never ever repay anyone for the grace of sincerely given kindness & goodwill & so we ask God—in whom we believe—to do so on our behalf because—being Who & What He believe Him to be—He Alone can do justice to our benefactors: بارك الله فيكم واحسن الله عليكم

Madam, I ran out of superlatives the second day I was on bsky.social & all I have are mute squeals of awe. I’ve been around the block of life a time of two & seen some horrible specimens of humanity but the natural world surprises me every day & posts from people like you keep me from bringing up.
