There have been a few million new users here since I last asked, but are there any other #SchoolBoard Directors out there? This seems like a good time to get connected. #EduSky
Can we request a special JBLM range practice endorsement?

Folks in Pierce County really like to blow things up.

Looks like every Levy in Pierce County is passing tonight. There's one that could be close, but overall great results for students.

Total turnout in Puyallup by Monday morning was less than the number of votes I received just myself in November.

Pierce County folks have a little less than 3 hours left to find a drop box.

Damn, @sporer.bsky.social, this just missed the small sample size deadline.
Discussing Cubs legend Phil Mudrock on the train yesterday with @phitter72.bsky.social prompted this awesome @stathead.com and a newfound appreciation for Carlos Gomez.

At the Australian Open - a fan cheering on the American yelled out "Do it for Greenland!" and received a very uncomfortable laugh from the crowd.

That is wild.

The expanse of the tunnel network, and everything that happened inside them, is really difficult to accept. I can't imagine being the tunnel rat first into the hole.

I've read so many stories about Cu Chi. An absolutely fascinating part of history.

Oh sorry, I haven’t been online that much tonight, I’ve been forced to help organize a safety patrol at my kid’s daycare, because ICE stopped by today.

The Space Needle is in this picture. I swear. #NYE #SpaceNeedle #Seattle #TheUpsideDown

The fireworks at the New Year's at the Needle are hilarious. It is so intensely foggy that the Space Needle can't be seen.

Both of those concepts can co-exist. If immigration is only about closing the border to bad people, then you don't think about what else it means, and you can move on to the price of eggs, gas, or anything else you perceive as more relevant to your direct experience.

Why not? You can have a shallow awareness of an issue, or a deep understanding of an issue.

To the people I talked to, immigration meant bad people won't be able to cross the border in the future -- The End. To you, immigration means Stephen Miller, send them back, remigration, etc.

Haven't seen any. Quite a few years ago I stumbled on a reference to a team in Trinidad, Washington (near what is now Quincy). I lost the source and have never been able to find it again. Eastern Washington/Oregon and Idaho seem like an area of opportunity.

I'm exceptionally good at collecting them.

These are people who live in and serve a community filled with immigrants and their children. They didn't follow the issue because they were told it only affected "the bad ones." I'm not excusing their votes, but we can't pretend those voters don't exist.

I'm very active in state and local politics. I had conversations with elected officials about immigration who had never heard of Stephen Miller and told me I was exaggerating. They are smart people, but immigration wasn't something they cared about or were informed about.

I keep seeing claims that Moms for Liberty lost all 31 of their contested races? Can someone explain how the 31 were identified?

I know in my local area that M4L or closely aligned candidates won some races. Don't get complacent.
