#MailDay - 1971 Topps Baseball’s Greatest Moments Maury Wills. The realistic @latimes.com masthead on the back of this test issue is a nice touch. Some irony to the opening line of the “article” since even in 1959 the Topps scout believed Maury had zero chance of making the big leagues. #CardSky

Fifth year anniversary of one of the darker days in the country’s history. If I were on the case I would have focused less on whether the president caused it (too complicated) and more on the complete dereliction of duty that let it continue unabated. Just sat there eating hamburgers.
