After much thought, I have deactivated my Twitter account after something like 17 years. The only drawback is that I can no longer proudly say “Barack Obama follows me on Twitter”, which oddly, he did. Of course, if he wants to follow me on Bluesky, that would be lovely.

This is depressing for our children. Because until we actually realise that in the words of Billy Joel ''We did'nt start the fire' these issues in British political history will always dog our country.
