Ha ha, okay, nobody. Man, I do miss old Twitter where I could ask this kind of question or it would already be out there in the air.

a fun way to make a tiny apartment seem super ginormous is to put a giant tree in it for a few weeks then take the tree out and omg the spacious

darkly funny, because yes, my phd included military history + international relations and lots of that stuff is just.... not what this is at all.
you studied defense procurement, seapower, sociology of the military......but its secondary to the fact that a likely dying old man has been hypnotized by the mercator projection into wanting greenland

If you would like more sports in your social media experience, here's a starter pack for the winter olys
One month until the 2026 Olympics opening ceremony! I will be sharing my daily watch guides here on The Sports App (cc: @dennycarter.bsky.social)

Plus I’ll have daily coverage for SI and I’ll be adding more people to the Olympics starter pack below.
3️⃣ I made an Olympics starter pack 🥇

Small for now, but I will add to it as we get closer and share it again.

Will be a mix of real reporters and good posters.

Hoping BlueSky will be a fun place to follow along during the Olympics like it’s become for other sports.

Editors: I have a fun Esses Magazine project in need of a Miami-based freelancer with extensive knowledge of the city/food/culture (racing expertise optional). Who knows somebody who fits the bill?

I read Mary Austin, The Land of Little Rain over the holidays and it's lovely. It's about the eastern Sierra, specifically, but it encompasses the wider region of both the Sierra and the basin and range country of Nevada and Utah.

to be clear this crew is not on the naughty list, it was just a thing that happened just before the holidays and they need a little reminder thing

When you get the reputation of being the guy with the encouraging words on New Year's Eve, it can start to come through as a little pressure -- what if the situation on the ground is worse than usual? what if people are more scared than they usually are, and with cause? what use are good vibes then?

Mountain biking always makes me feel like a kid. The hills are crazy green, the streams are full on — it’s magical up there.

So, those two things were really fun and good. Weird year, but two fun and good things. I'll take what fun I can find, honestly.
