we decided to do happy miles today and tried to pick the flattest, sunniest route possible. it worked out alright but we still got almost 1k feet of climbing. ride bikes, it's good

mostly, they're going to have piles of footage of me walking in and out of my house all day which is very exciting if you're into that kind of thing

darkly funny, because yes, my phd included military history + international relations and lots of that stuff is just.... not what this is at all.

I read Mary Austin, The Land of Little Rain over the holidays and it's lovely. It's about the eastern Sierra, specifically, but it encompasses the wider region of both the Sierra and the basin and range country of Nevada and Utah.
