Today had an up and a down. Failed the Analyze tollgate for my Greenbelt project but got some good contacts form a later unrelated meeting.

Well off to go present my finding from 3 months of analysis, to my bosses boss. (The findings are that people aren't doing their jobs, or stuff gets delayed, due to people not doing their jobs)
Also having fun in VBA for another project. I made a a new module with nothing in it and everything broke

So I tried to set up a website on Squarespace, but I couldn't find the fucking link to the site so I could hand it out. I was like, fuck it, I need the site soon and need the link so heres a bit of money so I can get the link.

I had travle planned for training this week, but that was calcnled. Friday should have been a travel day given midnight arrival for tonight, but that would have been the day before so it doesn't count. Took Friday off.
Anyway, never canceled the leave and only really thought about it this week.

You can just, attend council meetings at city hall. I didn't even know that until last week, but they have them the first 3 Thursdays of each month here. I should attend them if I want to be serious about politics, atleast most of them.

Its actually easy to run for mayor where I live. Just got to town hall and they'll give you a form to fill out, and a nice booklet with useful info in it. When the petitions to run open in feb, they'll even help you get that filled out and give you blank copies.

I budget time for a meeting set to end at 5p. Everyone gets 10 minutes to present and we have to keep to that scheduled so that people can hop on. Somehow it ended 1.5 hours early. We had more people present than yesterday and...? IDK, I adjusted my schedule for nothing.

I'm... I'm considering running for a local elected office. I'm kinda scared, and kinda excited about it. I would need 200 signatures from locals, and I couldn't even start collecting till next month but... maybe?

So I just found out I'm not getting promoted because I lack initiative and don't like working long or off hours. I contest the later, if they gave me a heads up I'd have been, well not fine but more indifferent. As for the initiative, yeah that tracks.

Had french toast with my parents. Apparently my mom is convinced something big is going to happen in January related to politics? I'm kinda hoping the orange goes bad and this whole thing implodes on itself. We'll still be worse off than before but we can start trying to fix things.

The eve tomorrow, I shall go out and enjoy Chinese with my family! Well not my mom and dad, they got the Flu and my bubbie will be there so... But I'll say hi to them before I come back.
