I think the most important thing to me is to be first and foremost a humanist. I care about people and helping my fellow humans more than anything else. That goes beyond party lines or "sides". I just want us all to be safe, fed, and happy.

This is so fucking disturbing. I hope we're able to get justice for the people who have suffered this.
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

I thought I had seen it all in some sense in the 15 years I handled corporate fraud cases.
