The Coastal Act is the People's Law, and always has been. It was established by ballot measure - it protects our beaches and coastline for the People of California.
The California coast’s greatest advocate and principal author of the California Coastal Act, Peter Douglas, often spoke about the importance of activism. The coast belongs to everyone.
