According to Matthew Kidwell, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Eureka, the tide gauge at the North Spit of Humboldt Bay recorded a new all-time high of 10.01 feet.

A Whale Tail Grant supported Project Avary in connecting children of incarcerated parents to the coast and a community of belonging. Through Adventure Days, overnight coastal retreats, and weeklong summer camps, youth enjoyed surfing, kayaking, exploring tide pools, fishing, and hiking. (1/2)
