Gruber's been excoriating Alan Dye for the better part of the last two days for being a shitty designer.

Meanwhile, in the year of our lord 2025, daringfireball.net is still terrible to read on a mobile device.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

Kidnappers won't know what hit them.

Most of what’s written about AI focuses on engineers and output, not on managers and leadership, so I wrote something for the rest of us: how I'm using it to lead my team and my program.

Also: I take a little poke at Tobi Lütke.

I hope you like it!

I've barely watched any Oilers hockey all year because I just don't care any longer but I turned the game on just in time to realize that Stuart Skinner is still a terrible goalie so that's nice.

@feedly.com will Feedly on iOS ever support zooming in to images? That seems like such incredibly basic functionality that's been missing for years and is why I still use Feedly Classic.

Why is Elon dressing like the fucking Unabomber for a cpac interview? It's not only sad that the American Nazi movement exists in the first place but also that it is being led by such a *dork*.

The USA should really consider adding a second political party to their system so that somebody could stand up to things like this.
A teen DOGE staffer recently given access to government systems worked at a startup known for hiring convicted hackers. Someone using a Telegram handle associated with him also solicited a cyberattack-for-hire service in 2022. All raising questions about his vetting. www.wired.com/story/edward...
DOGE Teen Owns ‘Tesla.Sexy LLC’ and Worked at Startup That Has Hired Convicted Hackers
Experts question whether Edward Coristine, a DOGE staffer who has gone by “Big Balls” online, would pass the background check typically required for access to sensitive US government systems.

DoorDash's bullshit "without your consent we've auto-signed you up for a free trial of this service that we will then begin charging you for in two weeks" is such a dark pattern of user-hostility that it should get an entire product team fired.
