Guess I should reintroduce myself to all my followers
I'm Huddle from Georgia and I thruhiked the Appalachian Trail this year! I'll be posting stuff from my hike and backpacking tips

Last Weekend I got to go to the ATC Emerging Leader Summit in New Jersey! It was great meeting lots of folks and learning more about all the 1000 parts that goes into conserving the AT!

At the start of the year, the trail ambassadors in Georgia had a big map of the trail closures and the reroutes. Glad to see it narrowed to 5 miles!
In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene last fall, downed trees and destroyed bridges caused 430 miles of the famed Appalachian Trail to be closed.

We were south of Hawk Mountain today installing check steps to prevent trail cupping!
The Georgia Appalachian Trail Club has taught me a ton about trail maintenance. It is nice to go on trips this time of year where it isn't too hot.

As a new section maintainer I get to enjoy working at Stover Creek Shelter and making sure everything is ok!
I'm still learning a lot and know there's lots of work to be done on my section to improve drainage and keeping the trail intact!

I basically help out all sorts of hikers, do some trail maintenance and stuff. Also gave a ride to a Canadian as he embarks on an AT Thruhike and he gave me real maple syrup!!

Just beg you Americans, if you want to understand the transgender community in China, please go back to Twitter. No offense intended. Chinese transgender individuals primarily voice themselves on Twitter, not on any Chinese social media platforms.
So did people forget about Free Tibet, Hong Kong, Genocides, Religious Suppression, native language suppression going on in China right now, the ones citizens on Rednote can't acknowledge or face legal action!
