Just to update everyone on where things stand, I'm working on the second installation of the Strange Space series! Unfortunately I've spent the past month or so either working extra hours or sick, so I've not had a lot of time to sink into it. Hopefully this will start to smooth out after Christmas.

I have been working a lot on outlining the various tales that I'll be working into my Arthurian Legend retelling... it's very exciting, if only I had the time to sit down and actually write any of it 🤣 In the meantime #StrangeSpace second entry is on the go... #WriteSky

Whilst I work on the second #StrangeSpace story, I've decided to take on a massive project and start developing my Arthurian Legend retelling. It's a massive undertaking, but I intend to take a long time working on it. Trust that Mordred will finally get some good characterisation. #WriteSky

To follow up on my good news, I've also finished the basic plot outline for the next book in the #StrangeSpace series, and I'm considering working on another standalone novel in the meantime. Just not sure which of my many ideas I wanna explore 🤣

It's been a while since I last posted an update. I've been working hard, and I have my completed proof copies of both hardcover and paperback! Shade of the Aitel will officially release this week. Hardcover is illustrated by my gorgeous partner. #StrangeSpace #WriteSky #BookSky

Work on the final draft is under way. Everything's going well for a September release, hopefully! There will be three versions of Shade of the Aitel available at first--kindle, paperback, and hardcover--but eventually I hope to release a dyslexia friendly, large font print as well. #WriteSky

If you haven't heard from me lately it's because I've been crumbling under burnout. That said, I should hopefully have feedback from my beta readers in the next few days so I can get on with edits. (In the meantime I may work on a Death Stranding fanfic, but you didn't hear that from me.)

Alt text is good for many reasons:
- It makes images accessible to low-vision folks
- It tells people what an image is about if the image breaks
- It tells Bluesky & search engines what your image is about

I've nearly finished my first read through of Shade of the Aitel for edits, and I'm about to start my second draft. Hopefully it won't need more than a couple of redrafts, cuz it's reading pretty well in my own head. I am looking for beta readers, though, if anyone's interested. #WriteSky

Another month, another prompts list. #SFFChat I have a lot of favourite aliens, from the Thanator in Avatar to the Nightmare Entity in Doctor Who. But my all time favourite must be the Alien Queen from Aliens.

It's been a crazy few days with work and burnout, not to mention all the smoke in the air from the wildfires in Moray right now are seriously destroying my lungs. This picture was taken in my village today, thank god the rain finally came on this evening.
