I think this accounts succinctly for the conspicuous rage-in-victory of so many Trumpistas. What they want, though they’ll never admit it, is the respect of civilized people, which they fuzzily imagined they could extract by main force.

Joe Manchin must seek the Democratic nomination for the office of president. The man that Democratic voters only know, if they know him at all, as the ancient and luridly corrupt coal dandy who casts the deciding vote against things they want, has a powerful vision for the future. And he can win.

When the question is "what's wrong with men" the answer is always that society is failing them; when the question is "what's wrong with women" the answer is always that they're failing society.
According to the WaPo Ed board, young men are consuming media about hating women (and others), but straight marriage is so important that young women should ignore that and marry them anyway.
