Great news! Keir Starmer and Friedrich Mersey agree to make possible visa- free travel between UK and Germany for school groups by the end of the year to increase ‘opportunities for linguistic, cultural and academic experiences’.

I was delighted to hear President Macron praising the European Youth Mobility Scheme in London yesterday: ‘Let’s work together … to facilitate the exchange of students, researchers, intellectuals, artists…let’s allow our children to have the same opportunities as the ones we had’. Absolument!

Great to hear the petition calling for the UK to rejoin the EU asap was debated in parliament on Monday. The debate was well attended and support shown for moving towards closer ties with the EU. All good given global developments and UK economy.
