(1) Healthcare doesn’t work in an insurance model because, unless you die young suddenly, at some point, we’re all bad risks. The only way to reduce risk with insurance is to pool the good risks with the bad, and the bigger the pool the better. Universal coverage is the biggest pool. 1/4
