I was talking about Star Wars at work and this woman overheard me. I told her I could have a TED talk for like an hour about stuff that’s not in the movies. She was fascinated by the mere concept of how kyber crystals power and give color to lightsabers.
I think some people are mad that Star Wars has grown in its audience because now they can’t feel like it’s their niche nerdy special interest to be gatekept. That’s why they’re upset at women and poc finding interest in it more and more.
