Die Welt ist ein wilder, unglaublicher, ja auch absurder Ort - aber doch ein Ort an dem es sich leben lässt.

The rather interesting and unusual Beresford Tomb, St Edmund’s Church, Fenny Bentley, Derbs.
Both Thomas and his wife Agnes depicted within their burial shrouds.
Not spooky at all.

#fairytaletuesday 'Rumpelstiltskin', a classic German scary fairy tale gathered by the Brothers Grimm, pivots on the old belief that to know someone's name causes them a loss of power. The 1915 film adaptation looked so frightening, it was forgotten as quickly as possible.

Woody fruit capsules of an eucalyptus tree. After the flowers bloom and dry, they leave behind these cool, hard little cups that look like fancy buttons. The star- or cross-shaped opening on top is where the seeds will spill out.
